Sunday is my absolute favourite day of the week, so its nice when we get to do something fun before heading back to the Monday grind. This Sunday Pete & I went to Petworth Park for a picnic and it was very cute. It was such a beautiful day, we sipped sparkling elderflower and pigged out on Applegarth Brownies (the best around), Strawberries and other treats. We had a very relaxed day sitting by the lake and when it cooled off a little in the Afternoon we went for a cup of tea at The Hungry Guest. Definitely one of my favourite places to go in Petworth! It was a perfect Sunday! I hope everybody enjoyed their weekend!

Phoenix
A week ago Pete and I returned home from a lovely trip to Phoenix, Arizona. We are both very sad to be home and protesting the fact by not conforming with our rightful time-zone. Although waking up at 4am every morning is getting slightly old now! We had such an amazing time and it was so nice to get away and get some much needed R&R. We stayed at The Phoenician, which was even more beautiful than expected. It stands right in the foothills of The Camelback Mountains and lying by the pool looking up at the huge red rocks was incredible.
We spent our days eating an obscene amount of food, sipping (virgin) cocktails, (sadly we are a year shy of the fully loaded versions being legal) lying by the pool, shopping and occasionally playing a round of golf on the Championship course there. I actually was in charge of driving the Golf Cart as actually playing would have been way out of my skill set. By our tenth and final day, it was safe to say we had more than fallen in love with the place and have decided a trip back in the future is necessary.
I have put together a little list of places to go, eat or see! Hope everybody is having a lovely week! I am looking forward to the weekend! This week has been so long already and it is only Monday!
Eat at J&G's steakhouse, have a steak (obviously) and the creamed spinach. Tommy Bahama's, the Island Jerk Chicken with sweet potato puree is incredible and their Pineapple Creme Brulee served in a Pineapple round is even better for desert.
See The Camelback Mountains, guided hiking is apparently amazing there and although this time we didn't get around to it, it is on the to-do list for next time.
